Man charged with Joyce McLain slaying indicted on murder charge

BANGOR, Maine — An East Millinocket man charged with slaying high school student Joyce McLain more than three decades ago was indicted Wednesday by the Penobscot County grand jury on one count of murder.

On September 2, 2010, Charles E. Woodburn (DOB 12-4-1951) was reported missing from his Neck Road home by family members. His remains were discovered in the fall of 2014.
